Do your therapists and providers have lived experience? I need to know they can relate to me.

Yes, our providers and therapists have lived experience and will bring that knowledge and background into their work with you. Our practice is built by people with lived experience, and that informs how we approach all client care. We are a holistic approach practice by choice.

Our full pay rate is $165/session but we do have sliding scale options for those that make under $150k annually pre-tax and we take into consideration your living expenses and if you have multiple services with us. Click here for the sliding scale calculator.

We suggest you expect weekly sessions and your provider will adjust them once you set up a treatment plan or make changes based on clinical needs.

We recommend that you see 2 different providers for these services in order to preserve confidentiality and objectivity. Not to worry, we can match you with appropriate providers for both if you and your partner(s) are looking to start now.

Our therapists and providers use multiple modalities ranging from CBT, DBT, EMDR, Trauma-Informed Care, Communication Therapy, Developmental, Eclectic, Ecological Therapy, Existential, Family/Marital Therapy, Family Systems Theory, Guided Imagery, Harm Reduction, Humanistic, IFS (Interfamily systems), Interpersonal,Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Person Centered Therapy,Psychodynamic, Solution Focused Brief Therapy and more.

We have licensed therapists and experienced providers that can work with any client, but our utmost concern is that you get the care YOU need so if AMR therapy isn’t a good fit we provide referrals outside our practice. We care more about you getting the right fit than making sure you sign up with us.

It’s easy to be placed with a different therapist or provider if you don’t feel like it’s working out due to differences in personality, approach or pacing. We do recommend that you bring up any concerns with your therapist before you ask to be re-matched, it may resolve your concern just by talking it through; but if it’s simply not a good match, it’s an easy fix and you won’t have to complete an initial consultation all over again.

No. Your session rate is inclusive of all fees. There are no hidden costs to you.

Yes, we do! And our coaching and support services are available to clients in any state, not just California and Nevada.

If you’re doing therapy, you will need to have residence in California or Nevada (depending on your provider’s licensed state); however, you can get support services or coaching in any state.

We understand. You may be fluent in English, but feel more comfortable speaking your native language when discussing sensitive topics and processing emotions and meeting you in that space is important to us. We have providers that speak Spanish, Italian, French, Farsi and other languages.

Yes, our clients frequently return as needed for “tune-ups” or support as needed when life changes happen. Life is not something to be solved, we’re here when you need us.

Yes. We are Kink-Aware and Poly-Friendly. We understand that your kinks or relationship structures are not “problems” to be cured. We provide a non-pathologizing space where you can discuss power dynamics, boundaries, and identity without fear of judgment or having to educate your therapist on the basics of BDSM.

We move beyond “diversity training” into active anti-racist practice. We recognize the reality of racial battle fatigue, microaggressions, and the exhaustion of code-switching. Our therapy centers the resilience and healing of Black, Indigenous, and People of Color, providing a space where your lived experience with systemic oppression is validated, not questioned.

Many of our clients come to us having experienced Spiritual Abuse or “purity culture.” We help you navigate the complex process of deconstruction—untangling your personal values from harmful dogmas. Whether you are reclaiming your spirituality or leaving religion entirely, we provide a trauma-informed space to process the guilt, shame, and grief that often follow.

Absolutely. Religious trauma often leaves a “blueprint” on how we view our bodies, sex, and worthiness. We help you identify these subconscious patterns so you can build a life based on your own authentic choices rather than inherited fear.

We specialize in Intersectionality. We know that being a Queer Person of Color (QPOC) comes with unique challenges, including navigating “whiteness” in LGBTQ+ spaces and “cis-heteronormativity” in your own cultural communities. We recognize that being bi-racial or multi-racial also comes with it’s share of challenges and we understand how to work with that framework. We hold space for all of you—none of your identities have to be checked at the door.

There is no such thing as “too much” here. We use somatic exercises and Attachment-based tools to go at your pace. We don’t just talk about the mess; we help your nervous system feel safe enough to process it. We are here for the raw, the real, and the unapologetic.

For many, it is more effective. Being in your own environment—surrounded by your pets, your smells, and your comfort items—can help you stay “regulated” while we do the deep work. We use secure, HIPAA-compliant video to ensure your privacy remains the top priority.

Nervousness is a sign that you care about your healing. We recommend booking a free 15-minute consultation. This isn’t a therapy session; it’s a vibe check. You can ask us questions and see if our style feels like the “safer space” you’ve been looking for.
